Refund & Cancellation

This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for purchases on ResumeGenie. It forms part of our Terms of Service. All amounts are in Indian Rupees (INR) and payments are processed by Razorpay.
1. Credit packs (one-time purchases)
Credits are prepaid, digital access units that are typically consumed immediately when you use an AI feature. Because they are digital goods delivered instantly:
- purchased credits are generally non-refundable once added to your balance;
- we will refund or re-credit you for failed, duplicate, or incorrectly charged transactions;
- if a feature failed due to a verifiable fault on our side and a credit was wrongly deducted, we will restore that credit.
2. Pro subscription
- You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your billing settings.
- Cancellation stops future renewals. Your Pro benefits remain active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for; we do not provide pro-rated refunds for the current period.
- You will not be charged again after you cancel, unless you resubscribe.
3. How to request a refund
Email support@resumegenie.iofrom the address on your account, with your payment reference (Razorpay order/payment ID) and a short description of the issue. We aim to respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Razorpay, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
4. Exceptions
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law. We reserve the right to decline refund requests that appear fraudulent or abusive.
